Other Important Notes!
Annual Blue and Gold Banquet Sunday February 22nd
Medieval Times, Lunch and tournament! Ahem...I mean Happy Birthday Scouts, and fare thee well AOL's as you embark on your next quest! The Blue & Gold is the banquet of scouts, celebrating the joy of scouting. Pack 350 will be celebrating at the American Legion.
As per custom, there will be a cake baking competition, with a few simple rules: The scout must participate in the creation of the cake. Everything on the cake must be edible. The cake should reflect this year's banquet theme.
Also, The AOL families have asked that all families hold back and donate as many empty toilet paper rolls as possible as part of the decoration effort. Thank you!
If you feel inclined to dress in medieval attire, it is absolutely more than welcome!
Duty to God
Every Cubscout rank has a Duty to God required adventure.
This rank requirement can be completed at home with your family.
If you have not done so please start working on and completing this requirement.
Once completed inform your den leader so it can be awarded.
Sunday January 31st
This month will be at Richard Young forest preserve starting at 2pm. Please plan to dress for the cold (layers!), from head to fingers and toes.
Can't join during the Pack Hike? Then grab your scout and the whole family if you want and track your miles:
Here are the requirements:
Location must be the same as designed for the pack hike
Miles logged will be a max of 3 miles. Meaning if the scout is having so much fun that they end up hiking 5 great but we will only be logging 3 or if a lion can only hike 1.5 miles then they would get 1.5 miles logged.
Only 1 hike may be used for the monthly hike. meaning if a scout goes every weekend to hike 3 miles...yea but we are only logging 1, 3 mile hike
Use the AllTrails App to log your hike route and length. Send a screenshot to Mr. Potts or Mr. Johnson, and we'll get them logged for you.
Reminder: At the Pack level miles are rounded to the nearest half mile....so if you hike 1.10 miles this will be logged as 1 mile....if you hike 1.36 miles this will be logged at 1.5.
